Privacy policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This policy explains what happens to your data when you visit Moonlit Arcade (https://moonlitarcade.com). In short: we don't ask for your name, email or any account, and we keep as little as we can.
Who is responsible
Moonlit Arcade is run by an independent developer (see the legal notice). For any question about your data, write to hello@moonlitarcade.com.
Game progress, records and badges
Games save your progress, settings, best scores, top-5 boards and achievements in your browser's local storage. The site also keeps your arcade records there (time played, best records, achievements and badges, shown on the My arcade page). This data stays on your device and is never sent to us: there is no account and no online leaderboard. You can erase your arcade records from the My arcade page, or everything at once by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Hosting and security
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Audience measurement
We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which games are popular. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across sites and doesn't build a profile of you.
Advertising
Moonlit Arcade is free because it shows ads. Ads are provided by Google (AdSense and H5 Games Ads). Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure their performance and, if you agree, personalize them based on your interests.
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for your consent before any of this happens, through a consent message provided by Google. You can change your choice at any time with the Privacy and cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and manage your ad preferences at My Ad Center.
Cookies and similar technologies
Here is everything the site or its partners may store in your browser. Only advertising cookies need your consent, and they are never set before you give it.
| What | Set by | Why | Your consent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Game saves (local storage) | The games themselves | Keep your progress and settings on your device | Not needed: strictly necessary for a feature you use |
| Arcade records (local storage, moonlit.arcade.v1) | Moonlit Arcade | Show your time played, best records, achievements and badges on your device | Not needed: strictly necessary for a feature you use; never sent to us |
| Consent choice (e.g. FCCDCF, FCNEC) | Google's consent message | Remember whether you accepted or refused | Not needed: stores your own choice |
| Security (e.g. __cf_bm) | Cloudflare | Tell people from bots and block abuse | Not needed: strictly necessary for security |
| Advertising (e.g. __gads, __gpi, IDE) | Google and its ad partners | Show ads, limit repeats, measure them and, if you agree, personalize them | Asked first, in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland; you can refuse as easily as accept |
| Audience measurement | Cloudflare Web Analytics | Count visits | No cookies used |
Refusing advertising cookies doesn't stop you from playing: you'll still see ads, just non-personalized ones. To change your choice later, use the Privacy and cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, or clear this site's data in your browser.
Children
Our games are made for a general audience, including families. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children, and there are no accounts, chats or forms on the site.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe), you have the right to access, correct or delete data about you and to object to its use. Since we hold no accounts, most data is either on your own device or with the providers named above. Write to hello@moonlitarcade.com and we'll help. You can also contact your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. See also the terms of use.
