About the game

Moonlit Solitaire is the classic Klondike patience game, dealt on a deep night-blue table under a faint pixel moon. Build the four foundations from Ace to King, stack the seven columns down in alternating colors, and clear the whole deck.

Every card is drawn in crisp pixel art, with big ranks and suit shapes that stay easy to read on a small phone screen. Play Draw 1 for a relaxed game or Draw 3 for a real challenge. Each day brings a daily deal that is the same for everyone, and every random deal has a number, so you can restart it and try again.

There is nothing to install and no account. Your game in progress, your settings and your stats (wins, win rate, best time and streaks) are saved in your browser, so you can close the tab and pick up where you left off. A game takes about five to ten minutes.

How to play

  1. On the title screen, choose Daily deal or New random deal. Pick Draw 1 or Draw 3 first if you like.
  2. Tap or click the stock (top left) to turn over cards. When it runs out, tap it again to turn the waste back over.
  3. Stack cards on the seven columns in descending order and alternating colors, like a red 7 on a dark 8. Only a King can fill an empty column.
  4. Move cards by dragging them, or tap a card to send it to the best legal spot. Aces and their followers go up to the foundations.
  5. Build all four suits from Ace to King on the foundations to win. When every card is face up, press Auto-complete to finish in style.

Tips

  • Turn over the face-down cards in the columns first. Moves that reveal a hidden card are usually the best ones.
  • Don't rush to empty a column unless you have a King ready to move into it.
  • Play the longest columns first: they hide the most cards.
  • Stuck? Press H for a hint. Press it again to see another option.
  • In Draw 3, think before you play from the waste: it changes which cards come up on the next pass.

Questions

Is Moonlit Solitaire free?

Yes. It's free to play in your browser, with no account and no download.

Does it work on phones and tablets?

Yes. The table resizes to fit any screen, in portrait or landscape. Drag cards with your finger, or just tap a card to move it.

What is the daily deal?

Each day there is one deal that is the same for every player on that date. Solve it to add it to your stats, then come back tomorrow for a new one.

What is the difference between Draw 1 and Draw 3?

In Draw 1 you turn over one card at a time from the stock, the relaxed way to play. In Draw 3 you turn over three at once and can only play the top one, which is much harder.

Will I lose my game if I close the tab?

No. Your game in progress, including undo, is saved in your browser. Press Continue on the title screen to pick it up again.
