About the game

Pillow Fort Brawl is a pixel party game for 1 to 4 players on one screen. Four kids in pajamas stand on a giant bouncy pillow that floats in a moonlit bedroom sky. Run, dash and bump the others off the edge. The last kid on the pillow wins the round, and the first to win 3 rounds takes the match.

Meet Pip in a floppy nightcap, Bo in a bunny hood, Moss in a frog hood and Sunny in a paper crown. Each kid has a color, a hat and a symbol, so everyone can tell them apart. Nobody gets hurt: kids who fall tumble into a soft pile of plush toys and wave from there. Feathers float down now and then to give a short power-up, and in long rounds the pillow slowly shrinks.

Playing alone? Fill the empty spots with CPU kids at Easy, Normal or Hard. With friends, share one keyboard, plug in up to four gamepads or play with two people on a tablet. A round lasts about ten seconds, so it's easy to say "just one more match".

How to play

  1. Press Play, then choose Human, CPU or Off for each kid in the lobby. Pick 3 or 5 rounds to win.
  2. Move with WASD (Player 1), the arrow keys (Player 2), a gamepad stick or the touch stick.
  3. Dash with Space, Enter, gamepad A or the DASH button to bump much harder. The ring under your kid refills when the dash is ready again.
  4. Push the other kids off the pillow and stay on it yourself. Grab feathers for Zoom, Heavy or Boing power-ups.
  5. Be the last kid on the pillow to win the round. Win enough rounds to win the match.

Tips

  • Don't dash near the edge unless someone is in the way. A missed dash can carry you right off the pillow.
  • Get between your rival and the middle of the pillow, then bump them outward.
  • Watch the ring under your kid. When it's full and bright, your dash is ready.
  • Grab a Heavy feather when the pillow gets small: the others will bounce off you.
  • If someone charges at you near the edge, dash sideways or back toward the middle.

Questions

Is Pillow Fort Brawl free?

Yes. It's free to play in your browser, with no account and no download.

Can I play alone?

Yes. In the lobby, set the other kids to CPU and pick Easy, Normal or Hard for each one. You need at least two kids on the pillow.

How do gamepads work?

Plug in up to four gamepads and press A in the lobby. Each gamepad takes the next free kid. Press Start to begin the match, and Start again to pause.

Does it work on phones and tablets?

Yes. You get a touch stick on the left and a DASH button on the right. Hold your phone sideways for the biggest pillow. On a tablet, two people can play with controls at each end of the screen.

Is it OK for young kids?

Yes. It's pure cartoon fun: kids who fall off just land in a pile of plush toys and wave.
